How it Works

At Whitby Tutoring we teach Maths and English lessons at our home-based Education Centre in Central Avenue, Old Town, Eastbourne. Our students range from Primary up to GCSE.

We believe our lessons give the best of both worlds – individual tutoring in a small, supportive group. Our lessons are limited to 4 students, each working at a level and pace that is appropriate for their own progress. This ensures your child receives the personal instruction they need while learning alongside motivated peers.

What is the Cost?

Lessons last for 1 hour and cost £66.00 per month (for 11 months of the year). This works out at about £20 per lesson. Students come once a week during term time for a lesson in either Maths or English – some come twice and cover both subjects.

First Meeting

Each student and their parent are invited for a short face-to-face meeting before we begin any lessons to establish where they are and where we want to get to.

This is important in order to engage with the student and answer any specific questions you may have.
